Knowledge base

Knowledge

Six substances in clinical trials: what they are studied for, what the evidence says and their legal status. As of September 2026. This is not medical advice.

What therapy looks like in trials

The substance is one element of the protocol, not the whole treatment.

01ScreeningMedical and psychiatric assessment, exclusion of contraindications, informed consent.
02PreparationTwo or three sessions with the team: goals, expectations, a safety plan.
03SessionIn a clinic, with two supporting staff and monitoring, usually 6–8 hours.
04IntegrationConversations in the weeks after the session, further psychotherapy, follow-up.
Outside clinical trials the risk jumps. Unknown composition and dose, no medical screening, no help in a crisis, legal consequences. In a crisis after taking a substance call 112.

Where to check

Trial registries, publications and regulators — the sources we and our agent use.
